Confidentiality is an essential component of the therapeutic relationship and psychotherapy. We have strived to build a safe, therapeutic space that allows clients to feel comfortable to express themselves within a trusting environment that fosters growth, resiliency and improved quality of life.
In order to protect patient confidentiality, I comply with all Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA) rules, regulations and standards as well as those set forth by the National Association of Social Workers Code of Ethics.
Please note, that as a licensed therapist I have a legal duty and ethical responsibility to address and report suspected abuse as well as if an individual poses as a danger to themselves, others or property. If you have any questions about these legal obligations please bring them up as an item you'd like discussed in our initial session for clarity.
Below, you will find our privacy policy which will be reviewed during the first session and clients are asked to sign in acknowledgment.
